Why is this item added to the following categories, Monster Play Items, Creep Items? -Tiberivs 13:38, 26 September 2010 (EDT)

I guess it's because a creep can get it in loot, but won't be useful, only sell for money... Not needed then to be seen in creep item categories, removing. --Goingbald 20:46, 26 September 2010 (EDT)

I added this item to the Monster Play Items and Creep Items categories so that monster players could find it easily. In monster play it is not always easy to tell if you need to keep or sell an item, because some of the collection quests are not available when the free people hold the keep or outpost which is home to the quest giver. Most, if not all, of the monster play collection quests leave the items in your inventory, so you can accumulate items until you are able to acquire and/or complete the quest. To add to the confusion, several collection quests consume the same items.

I would like to provide a reminder on this (and similar) items which drop during monster play. I thought the simplest would be to place the item in the Monster Play Items and/or Creep Items categories and (perhaps) add a paragraph to the effect that monsters can safely sell this item. Perhaps there is an alternate way to capture this information so that new or forgetful monster players are reminded (at the item level) that they don't need to keep these items as they have no way to use them.

I recall a mention that monsters cannot do crafting, but that brief reference is easy to miss, overlook, or misinterpret. --RingTailCat 07:24, 28 September 2010 (EDT)

Now that the Ettenmoors mobs are lv75, they no longer drop Exceptional Hides, only Large Hides used in Tier 7 crafting. I'm updating the page to reflect that. --Moefaux (talk) 12:57, 15 December 2011 (EST)
