Level: 74

Training Price: 547 Silver 60 Copper

Traits

The trait Grim Challenge reduces the cooldown of this skill by 15 seconds.
The trait Litany of Challenge increases the max targets of this skill by two, makes the skill generate additional threat, and increases the duration of the forced attack by 3 seconds.

Effects

Using this skill causes Force Attack to occur on an enemy target.

If the Guardian strikes an enemy with this skill, they gain the Reactive Snare effect for 30 seconds.

Interactions

The Guardian's Belt legacy Challenge Targets increases the amount of targets hit by up to 5.
The Guardian's Belt legacy Cry Resist Chance decreases the resistance to this skill by up to 378.

Tactical Information

Like Challenge, this skill forces three enemies near you to attack you for 10 seconds. While they are forced to attack you for that time, and it does generate additional threat, there is no guarantee they will continue to attack you after the effect wears off.

Guardians striking with this skill also receive the Reactive Snare effect. Enemies who then hit the Guardian will receive the Pending Fear effect. If they fail to hit the Guardian in the next 6 seconds, they will receive the Hounding Fear debuff, which slows their movement speed by 30% for 6 seconds. If they do manage to hit the guardian again while under the effect of Pending Fear, the Pending Fear effect is refreshed instead.

Since the debuff is a timer triggered simply by hitting the Guardian, the enemy doesn't necessarily need to lose aggro on the Guardian to get snared. If it is unable to hit them, through stuns, kiting, or avoidance, it will be snared once the debuff runs out. However, this also means that an enemy won't be snared simply by aggroing a different target. Instead, it will still take 6 seconds from the last hit on the guardian until they are snared.

Although many threat-generating skills have their effects changed by the stance Overpower, this skill is not affected by stance and will act as a forced attack even when the Guardian is in Overpower.
