Harvest Festival 2009
- Each race knows it by a different name
- Harvest Festival for Hobbits
- Harvestmath for Men
- Autumnfest for Dwarves
- Iavasmereth for Elves
- Everywhere you turn in Middle-earth,
- The fall season is in full colors,
- Harvest Festival means harvesting, dancing,
- Drinking, fun games, and trick or treating!
Lord of the Rings Online will play host to the second annual Middle-earth Harvest Festival with new and old activities! With new games, dancing, drinking with the Inn League, and the horse races there's plenty to do this time around. Plus, there will be new Trick or Treat quests for players to enjoy. Does this mean we'll see some new Halloween-type masks and candy for the lil 'uns??
Horse Racing – Players can compete against each other in a horse race! Winners will receive a horse race token that can be used to purchase a Harvest Festival horse.
Games of Chance – The Harvest Festival will host four games. Players can bob for apples in the Shire or try geode picking with the Dwarves to earn Harvest Festival tokens that can be used to buy special festival items.
Harvesting the Crop – This new collection of quests enables players to harvest the crops they planted during the Summer Solstice Festival in June and earn a special item for their house.
Dancing – There will be dancing quests with new race-specific dance emotes as a reward.
Race locations for the Harvestmath horse/pony:
All-Shire Run - The Shire, just north of the Homesteads The Bree Derby - The Bree Festival Fields, north of Bree
Each race occurs every 10 minutes. 5 minutes before each race starts, the quest will appear above the race-master's head. The first 4 people to grab the quest and a saddle, will be able to race.
The course is laid out with various obstacles. Since there are lots of people around, it's advised you turn all your graphics to Very Low.
Tokens for Horse:
It is wise to turn in your items to the horse trader in the Bree Horse Fields, as you will only need 6 fall festival tokens instead of 12.
To acquire the Harvestmath Horse/Pony you must trade:
||Receipt of Purchase|
||Festival Run Token|
||6 Fall Festival Tokens|
There are a couple ways to earn Fall festival tokens this Harvestmath. One way is to complete the series of quests Troves and Trickery found at each festival grounds or in bree-town itself. The other way to earn tokens is to participate in the mini-games.
