This is very strange... the seal on this Icon on my computer (iMac OSX) is clearly red, as it is in-game, and in the screen-shot.

But as soon as it gets uploaded it becomes yellow!

It's not a browser rendering issue as when I simply drag the image into a browser window it "stays red." But as soon as I upload it, it becomes yellow!

Anyone have any idea what is happening here? Is this a "jpeg" to "Png" conversion issue which somehow the WIKI engine gets upset about?

Did you refresh? When I load the page it looks yellow because the old image is still in the cache, but when I refresh it turns to your new red image. -- Elinnea (talk) 21:21, 2 January 2012 (EST)

Yeah, I did, but it doesn't seem to take effect "immediately, consistently." I have to remember to wait like 5 minutes if I don't see a change I expect. I suspect that what I'm seeing is a function not of my Browser Cache, but of either my ISP's cache or that of LOTRO-Wiki's ISP's Cache or Akamai's. [Something like 90% of web traffic is cached multiple times, as it passes down the pipe.] The corollary is that the TTL (Time To Live) value on the image is set to a large number by the Media-Wiki software. There are a number of variables in the puzzle, all in the name of providing high-speed access over pipes that cannot mathematically pass that number of bits. (I spent far too many years in the Network Management business... excuse me for rambling.)
