Crafting Guilds
|
Crafting Guilds provide additional paths of advancement for many professions.
Membership in a crafting guild is exclusive - you may only be a member of one crafting guild at a time.
You may choose to join a different crafting guild, but bear in mind that you must abandon all guild recipes and progress gained from your current guild in order to join a new one.
Joining a Crafting Guild
Master of Crafting Guilds may be found in various crafting halls and locations throughout Middle-earth. Often they are found near a Master or Mistress of Apprentices.
Speak with a Crafting Guild Trainer to choose a guild from the list of available guilds (based on your vocation). Notice: To meet the requirements for membership in any crafting guild, the character must have reached at least the Expert tier in the related profession.
Crafting Guild Advancement
| Reputation Level | Points Needed | Total Pts Needed |
|---|---|---|
| Guild Initiate | 0 | 0 |
| Apprentice of the Guild | 10,000 | 10,000 |
| Journeyman of the Guild | 20,000 | 30,000 |
| Expert of the Guild | 25,000 | 55,000 |
| Artisan of the Guild | 30,000 | 85,000 |
| Master of the Guild | 45,000 | 130,000 |
Once you have joined a crafting guild, you can track your progress within the guild by opening the Character Journal and selecting the Reputation tab, where you will find a progress bar displaying your current standing within the guild. Note that Free and Premium players will have to unlock the guild reputation with Turbine Points in order to advance past Expert of the Guild status.
By purchasing and executing recipes available from your crafting guild's recipe vendor, you can create guild barter items that your guild's leader will accept in exchange for increased standing within the guild's ranks. Crafting guild barter item recipes are available from the Expert tier onwards. There are three different sizes of crafting guild barter items that can be made: small, medium, and large, each with a progressively more substantial number of required materials. An Expert or Artisan crafter can craft only small and medium items, with the Master, Supreme and Westfold levels able to craft all three sizes. Also, all crafting guild barter item recipes have cooldowns according to their size.
Following is a list of the different tiers and sizes of crafting guild barter items along with the number of reputation points they grant and the length of their cooldown.
| Size / Tier | Points Granted | Cooldown |
|---|---|---|
| Small Expert | 400 | 1d |
| Medium Expert | 1,200 | 3d |
| Small Artisan | 500 | 1d |
| Medium Artisan | 1,500 | 3d |
| Small Master | 600 | 1d |
| Medium Master | 2,000 | 3d |
| Large Master | 4,000 | 7d |
| Small Supreme | 700 | 1d |
| Medium Supreme | 2,500 | 3d |
| Large Supreme | 5,000 | 7d |
| Small Westfold | 800 | 1d |
| Medium Westfold | 3,000 | 3d |
| Large Westfold | 6,000 | 7d |
Note: Recipes for resources necessary to craft Westfold level items by a Forester or Prospector require the Forester or Prospector acquire Friend level status wit the Men of Dunland and then purchase the recipes from the Dunlending Quartermaster in Galtrev.
Crafting Guild Rewards
As you increase your standing within the guild, you can purchase and use the recipes sold by your guild's reward vendor.
Some crafting guild reward recipes allow you to craft a stack of items for a fraction of the normal ingredients needed, while other reward recipes provide a fool-proof method to craft a critical success item.
The highest tier of crafting guild reward recipes allow crafters to produce Legendary weapons and class items, as well as items that can augment the accrual of item advancement experience points!
Guild Hall Locations
Crafting Guild Halls can be found in the following locations around Middle-earth:
In each crafting guild hall you will find the crafting guild leader, the guild's recipe vendor, and the guild's reward vendor.
Within the Crafting Hall in Galtrev, opposite to the main entrance, there is an entrance into the Craftguilder's Hall.
In the Craftgilder's Hall can be found ALL of the various guilds represented as well as a "Master of Crafting Guilds."
